Miniature golf or, mini golf, is a staple childhood memory of mine! Whether I was with my family or friends, we always had a great time practicing our puts, trying new ways to get around the obstacles and the best part – getting that hole in one on the last green to earn a free game!
Mini Golfing is a fun idea for kids, date nights and hanging with friends, no matter what your age!
1. Hidden Valley Miniature Golf & Waterfront Grille
Hidden Valley Miniature Golf was THE PLACE to be on summer nights with my friends when we were in Middle/High school. Newly remodeled, Hidden Valley Miniature Gold & Waterfront Grille continues to be a popular destination for adults, teens and kids. The course does not disappoint as it features several waterfalls, bridges, caves and mature plants throughout.
The Waterfront Grille & Ice cream Parlor is bound satisfy any craving you have. Their menu includes burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders, lobster rolls, salads, ice cream and Italian Ice (to name a few things).

2. Matterhorn Mini Golf
Yodel-ay-hee-hoo!
Matterhorn Mini Golf is a one of a kind Swiss-themed miniature golf course that will surely transport you to Switzerland. Each green represents a landmark so you can learn as you play. Aside from the unique theme, my favorite thing about Matterhorn is the water feature – watch out as your ball may end up in the little river!
And, if you’re seriously into miniature golf, sign up for their tournaments.

Easy to get to on Rt 4 in Farmington, Farmington Miniature Golf Course is one of the most traditional courses around. This location hosts a few different tournaments throughout the year so be sure to check out their events page for more information!
Don’t leave without stopping by their ice cream parlor – there are so many delicious flavors of ice cream and frozen yogurt to choose from. And, their menu includes vegan plant-based flavors as well!

4. Riverfront Miniature Golf & Ice Cream
Nestled on the banks of the Farmington River, Riverfront Miniature Golf & Ice Cream is a great spot to enjoy mini golf with a view! The course is one of my favorites because it was designed to mimic a full scale golf course; meaning you’ll find natural obstacles such as water traps, contoured land, bricks and rocks to navigate around.
This location is easily accessible by car and by walking/biking on the rails-to-trails path.
